Priest of the UOC in the village Keleberda confirmed that he was offered a “transfer” to the OCU

On March 31, 2021, the lease term of the Transfiguration Church of the village of Keleberda, Poltava region, for the community of the canonical UOC ended. Thus, believers leave the temple, which its owner decided to transfer to the OCU, kg.ua writes.

As previously reported, in fact, there are no parishioners of the OCU in Keleberd, it is also unknown who will be the rector in it: the priest of the UOC, Father Mikhail Pavlyuk, confirmed that he was offered to move to the structure again, but he refused.

“I have been serving in this church for 20 years, and I know that I serve God, that I am in the canonical church. That God really works in her and that a very large number of miracles that I saw that occur through the prayers of our church. They cannot give me the opportunity to go to the church, which according to the canons of the church is considered graceless,” says Father Mikhail.

On March 25, the media writes, a meeting of the Petro-Pavlovsk community of the OCU was held in the town of Horishnie Plavni. The number of people who consider themselves her parishioners is not reported. However, together with the representative of the patron and the owner of the building Alexander Moroz Valery Krasnoper, the meeting was attended by the former mayor Sergei Suprun and the former general director of Poltava GOK Vladimir Badagov. Also present was Fyodor Bubnyuk, “archbishop” of the OCU and rector of the St. Nicholas Church in Kremenchug, Vladimir Makogon. It was noted that this will be the first cell of the OCU in the community of Horishni Plavni.
