The head of the UOC, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, made a report “Orthodox teaching about the Church: modern challenges and the search for answers” at the XI student conference on March 30, 2021. The report was published by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

“The issue of ecclesiology is a matter of real church life. The doctrine of the Church is embodied in the church structure and interchurch relationships. Therefore, divergences in the field of ecclesiology cannot but give rise to complex conflicts. The “Ukrainian crisis” clearly showed that the application of the “Constantinople model” in practice entails serious conflicts between the Local Churches,” the hierarch said.
