On March 28, 2021, in the second week of Great Lent, the parish in honor of all the saints of Kiev-Pechersk in the village of Hrynyava, Verkhovyna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, from which the church complex was taken away by representatives of the OCU, celebrated the patronal holiday. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
The Divine Liturgy was performed by the confessor of the Verkhovyna Deanery, Mitred Archpriest John Gavrilyak, in a room adapted for a church, where in December 2020 the throne was consecrated in honor of all the monks of the Kiev Caves.
The priest was co-served by the clergy of the Verkhovyna Deanery and the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
After the service, representatives of the eparchy handed over educational and methodological literature for the Sunday schools of the deanery.
The church in honor of all the monks of the Kiev-Pechersk, which was part of the temple complex at the Assumption Church in the village of Grinyava, was seized by raiders from the OCU on the eve of the Nativity of Christ, January 5, 2020. And the Holy Dormition Church – December 8, 2019. The seizure took place two hours after the end of the Sunday service, when the parishioners had already dispersed.
