On March 21, 2021, a general meeting of the parish headed by head Thomas Genny was held at the Nicholas Cathedral of the UOC-KP in Philadelphia. During the meeting, Filaret’s supporters spoke out about the claims of the OCU against the vicariate of the UOC-KP in the USA and Canada, according to the UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate Facebook page.

As noted in the message, “the community considered the slanderous publication on the official page of the OCU about the secretary of the vicariate of the UOC-KP in the USA and Canada, Bohdan Zgoba: it was a shame to read this nonsense from the OCU press center.”

In this regard, the meeting decided to give later an official response to the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko “for those slander, condemnation, blackmail and threats against the Vicariate, which, before Lent, emanate from the head of the OCU and his close assistant, the head of the OCU press service Archbishop Yevstratiy (Zorya). The entire community was also shocked by such blasphemy against the believers of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Philadelphia and the rector father Bohdan Zgoba, who until recently was a permanent benefactor of Metropolitan Epiphany and the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy.”
