In Kiev, Religious Procession on the Day of the Triumph of Orthodoxy postponed: the city authorities announced a lockdown

In Kiev, a lockdown is being introduced from March 20. The strengthening of quarantine was announced at a briefing by the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko. The restrictions will take effect from 00:00 on March 20 and will last until April 9 inclusive. For three weeks, the following will be prohibited:

– Work of cultural institutions (cinemas, theaters, museums, concert halls will be closed);

– The work of the shopping and entertainment center, except for grocery stores, pharmacies, pet stores, stores selling hygiene products and household chemicals;

– Conducting religious events, if one person has less than 10 m2 of area;

– Conducting mass events (entertainment, sports, cultural, advertising and others);

– The presence of spectators at sporting events;

The following restrictions are also introduced:

– Catering establishments will work only for take-out;

– Gas stations will work without a cafe;

– Public transport will operate as usual, but with no more than 50% of seats occupied;

– Schools will work remotely after the holidays. Kindergartens will continue to operate as usual;

– Hairdressers and beauty salons will work by appointment;

– Fitness and gyms will work by appointment, but without group classes;

– All enterprises in the public sector are switching to a remote form of work. Private business should also switch to remote locations as much as possible, in addition to critical infrastructure enterprises;

Accordingly, the All-Ukrainian religious procession in Kiev is also postponed.
