On March 13, 2021, Vasily G. Khashchiyuk, a parishioner of the St. Michael’s Church in the village of Zadubroivka, was severely beaten by 6 men, supporters of the OCU ideology.

Some of them have already noted themselves earlier when they attempted to seize the temple on 05/04/2020, but they were never brought to justice.

Vasily Khashchiyuk was returning home from his duty at the church. In the village of Zadubrivka, a religious community has been praying and protecting an Orthodox church for more than 680 days around the clock. Each of the parishioners has his own time when he is on duty, the church is never left without people, because no one knows the time and day of the next assault.

On his way home, 6 thugs attacked an elderly man, probably with the aim of “convincing” Vasily of the truth of their faith. As a result: concussion, multiple contusions of the face and body, hospitalization and long-term rehabilitation. For an elderly person, numerous injuries could be fatal.
