The UN Security Council will hold an informal meeting in March on freedom of religion and belief in armed conflicts, UK Permanent Representative to the UN Barbara Woodward said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“There are many issues ahead of peace and security. For example, the UK is very interested in advancing work on freedom of religion or belief in conflict,” said Woodward.
“We will have a meeting on the Arria formula (an informal meeting of the Security Council members – ed.) On this issue this month, and we will see where we are on this issue. So there is a lot of work ahead on the resolutions,” she added.
