The UOC is a great power, the largest Church in the country, and it is important that the authorities see this. Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, deputy head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, wrote about this in his Telegram channel, commenting on the words of political scientist Ruslan Bortnik that the authorities may abandon attempts to play with religious themes if they see strong resistance from believers.
“All believers of the UOC should be ready to go out into the streets as soon as there is a need and a call from the leadership of the Church. We are a great force, we are the largest Church in the country, we have a lot of people. It is important for the authorities to see this, and to annul all discriminatory anti-church laws of the previous government and abolish the same bills that form wreckers within the current government,” said the speaker of the UOC.
