The European Court of Human Rights accepted Filaret’s claim

The legal department of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” informs the religious association of the UOC-KP about the acceptance of the claim of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” by the European Court of Human Rights. In particular, the claim refers to the violation by the state of Ukraine and the state authorities of Ukraine of the right to access to justice and the right to freedom of conscience. Lawyer of the Kyiv Patriarchate Neonila Tkachenko announced this on her Facebook page.

The Secretariat of the European Court also informs about the possible need for the personal participation of a duly authorized representative in the court session.

“Addressing the Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience. We emphasize: the authorities still have a chance to preserve their authority, bring the data of state registers regarding the Kyivan Patriarchate in line with laws and its actual state, than restore the confidence of twelve million Ukrainians around the world,” wrote Neonila Tkachenko.
