Politicians and iartists demand from Phanar to abandon the “Barbarossa plan” in Ukraine

Ukrainian politicians and well-known artists published an “Appeal to His All-Holiness Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople – New Rome and the Ecumenical Patriarch”, in which they called for the start of the inter-Orthodox dialogue on the Ukrainian issue, terminated by Phanar, with the participation of all 14 Orthodox Churches and only after that arrive with a real package and a roadmap for real and comprehensive reconciliation of the Orthodox in Ukraine, and not with the aggressive and insidious “Barbarossa plan”. The appeal was published on the website of MP Andrei Derkach.

“Two years ago, the Tomos of autocephaly of the OCU was proclaimed. Two years later, we can regretfully state that the good goal of healing the schism has not been achieved. On the contrary, today we are on the verge of great upheavals for the entire Orthodox world.

This appeal, Your All-Holiness, is a reflection of the colossal concern over the deepening division that has affected almost every Orthodox family,” the document says.

According to the authors, “today the reality is that after the adoption of the Tomos and the formation of the OCU, not millions, but tens of millions, find themselves outside the church fence, since during the work on the preparation of the “Unification Council” the Exarchs you sent for almost six months could not reach consensus processes between all Orthodox groups in Ukraine so that the “Unification Council” is in reality a unifying one”.

The address emphasizes that “without a common Orthodox consensus, it was not possible to heal the split in Ukraine. The granting of autocephaly to the two church groups did not really change the picture, and the division now took place not according to parishes and dioceses, but according to the hearts of Orthodox people.”
“As for the “autocephaly” created by the OCU, the Orthodox of Ukraine are witnessing another split within the OCU itself, where there are two control centers headed by the“ Honorary Patriarch ”Filaret and his implacable opponent, a former pupil of the “Metropolitan” Epiphany,” the document explains.

Speaking about more than 250 cases of church raiding in relation to believers of the UOC, the authors of the appeal write: “Unfortunately, in the ensuing spiritual and canonical chaos, organized with your participation, a new political format of Orthodoxy has formed, where the shameful division of people on the basis of religion has become common, language, nationality; the use of paramilitary formations and surfing on national-radical rhetoric.”

In conclusion, the head of the Phanar is called upon to come to Ukraine “to start the inter-Orthodox dialogue on the Ukrainian issue, which you have stopped, with the participation of all 14 Orthodox Churches, and only after that to arrive with a real package and a roadmap for real and comprehensive reconciliation of Orthodox Christians in Ukraine, and not with an aggressive and insidious “The Barbarossa plan”. For this, as you understand, the participation of all parties of the Orthodox community of Ukraine is necessary, without replacing all the actors with fake figures or all sorts of swindlers.”
