The pandemic makes it possible to look at life more correctly, evaluate it and build it correctly. This was stated by His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onuphry in his address to the participants of the forum “Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: Challenges and Responses”, organized by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“As we continue the fight against coronavirus infection, society must become aware of the spiritual root causes of everything that has happened. God allows us to be tested not only for our virtues, but for our sins and calls us to fight with sin by repentance.

Today, each of us needs to look inside ourselves and draw the right conclusions. This new test makes us sober and gives us the opportunity to look at life more correctly, evaluate it and build it correctly in the future so that it is useful not only on earth, but also in the future in Heaven,” said the First Hierarch.

The Head of the UOC added that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prays every liturgy for an end to the pandemic and for doctors.
