An unknown benefactor donated a house to the persecuted UOC community of Novaya Moshchanitsa to build a new church

An unknown benefactor donated a premise for the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos to the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Novaya Moshhanitsa, Zdolbunovsky district, Rivne region. Two years ago, believers were expelled from their temple by schismatics and were not able to perform services in a religious building.

As “Pravlife” informs, the premises of a former Soviet-built store were donated to the community.

“We do not know the name of the donor, he decided not to name himself. But I want from all the parishioners to thank this person who gave us hope that there will nevertheless be a church in our village, ”Natalia Gnatishina, the spouse of the parish rector, commented on the event.

To equip the church in the old building, the community will need to replace the doors, repair the roof and make heating. For divine services, you will need to purchase church utensils.

The church in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with. Novaya Moshhanitsa, Zdolbunivskyi district, Rivne region was captured by supporters of the schismatic “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” on March 2, 2019. The faithful of the UOC gathered for divine services in the house of the rector, Archpriest Igor Gnatishin. For several months the parishioners were intimidated and blackmailed, the priest was forced to leave the house and the village. The community survived everything and stood in faith.
