The OCU community in Ukrainian village Uspenka pray “online” while the trial for the UOC church lasts

OCU supporters in the village of Uspenka, Kirovograd region in Ukraine are conducting “online services” while the trial for the temple of the UOC continues, says OCU “priest” Taras Vasilik who lives in Lviv and occasionally comes to Uspenka for big holidays.

“We serve online with the Uspenka community. We have a registered Facebook group so far. Moreover, now there is a pandemic … But services such as Epiphany, we held on the street. Epiphany was carried out on the Dnieper,”noted the OCU cleric, quoted by “Religioznaya Pravda”.

On October 7, 2020, the religious community of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Kropyvnytskyi Eparchy of the OCU with. Uspenka received a court decision on the case of property rights to the temple in its favor. Within a few days, the OCU activists came to the church together with the state executor, who must monitor the implementation of the court decision. Also, representatives of the OCU changed the locks on the temple doors.

However, at the end of the trial, the OCU activists decided to seal the church.
