The head of the stauropegic parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Philadelphia (USA) Bohdan Zgoba, on behalf of the head of the Kyiv Patriarchate Filaret Denisenko, awarded the most active 8 believers of his parish with medals and certificates of the UOC-KP. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Kyiv Patriarchate.

“When, while still staying in the States, I was preparing for a trip to Ukraine and an audience with His Holiness the Patriarch, His Holiness asked to identify the names of members of my community who deserve blessings and awards. Therefore, I returned to Philadelphia with a parting word from our Primate and medals for several parishioners who serve the Church of St. Nicholas with great devotion”, said Bohdan Zgoba.

Ray McNulty, Kirk Whitmer and George Latsios were awarded with the orders of St. George the Victorious. Anastasia Whitmer, Dana Giley and Judy Ganey were awarded with the orders of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara, and the chairwoman of the sisterhood Barbara Latsios and Susan Gaz were awarded with the orders of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
