The head of the UOC-KP Filaret Denisenko asks the Office of the Council of Europe to provide practical assistance to the state authorities in the issue of renewing the state registration of the Kyiv Patriarchate. The lawyer of the Kyiv Patriarchate Neonila Tkachenko announced this on her Facebook page.

According to the text, the UOC-KP asks to assist the state authorities of Ukraine, in particular, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine in the implementation of the decision of the Local Council of the UOC-KP dated June 20, 2019. According to it, the founder of the UOC-KP announced the continuation of the activities of the UOC-KP.

This decision provides for the cancellation of the termination of the religious center – the religious organization “The Kyiv Patriarchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate.”

It is noted that the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience is the only authorized body to make a decision on the restoration of the legal capacity of the religious center of the UOC-KP – the Kyiv Patriarchy.
