The parish of the UOC-KP in Philadelphia confirmed its loyalty to Filaret

On September 27, 2020, the annual meeting of the stauropegic parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of the UOC-KP took place in Philadelphia (USA). The head of the parish, Bohdan Zgoba, led the meeting of parishioners, telling them that the “patriarch” had been ill with coronavirus and overcame the disease, according to the Facebook page of “the UOC of the Kyivan Patriarchate”.

“Last year the number of members of the Church of St. Nicholas increased. We had a new young couple who became members of the Church and then got married with us: Rebecca and Benjamin Cliff. We also performed 12 baptisms last year. Over the past year, I have performed four weddings…

With a bright hope, I look forward to spending many more years with you all, offering our common prayers in the Church of St. Nicholas. We continue to be an energetic, growing parish”, said the head of the community.

Over the past year, parishioners have repaired the temple and the territory with a parking lot. In accordance with the decision, the current composition of the council was re-elected for the next year.
