The UOC-KP submitted a resolution to the Ministry of Culture and State Service for Ethnic Policy to continue its activities

On September 14, 2020, representatives of the “patriarch” Filaret Denisenko submitted to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, as well as to the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience, the “Resolution of the Local Council of the UOC-KP” on the continuation of the activities of the Kyiv Patriarchate dated June 20, 2019. This was announced on her facebook page by the head of the legal department of the UOC-KP Neonila Tkachenko.

“On the attitude of the Ministry of the updated composition to freedom of conscience, the results of consideration of the decision of the founder of the UOC-KP, the decision made by the state body (the form of its publication, given the great public importance of the issue), monitoring of the official website of the Ministry and the media is provided.

Separately, we note that the legal department of the Kyiv Patriarchate will inform about the results of the consideration of the submitted documents, after the decision is made, if its content is hushed up by the Ministry and its officials,” writes Tkachenko.

The commission for the liquidation of the UOC-KP was formed in the OCU in July 2019.
