Filaret’s legal department reports on a year of opposition to the OCU

Lawyer of the Kyiv Patriarchate Neonila Tkachenko believes that the change of presidents in Ukraine did not contribute to the restoration of the registration of the UOC-KP. Tkachenko reported on the year of opposition to the OCU in the courts on her facebook page.

“During this time, 1,658 letters and appeals, petitions and complaints were sent from a “non-existent” religious center. 21 lawsuits were filed in courts of all jurisdictions. 34 criminal proceedings were initiated.

Over the course of a year, we managed to disassemble and expose to the details the entire chain of illegal actions that had been committed since July 2018, were consistently planned and aimed at the legal destruction of a systematized religious association,” said Filaret’s lawyer.

“In conditions of actual and information war, political blackmail, total corruption, the metastases of which have pierced Ukraine, this struggle is difficult to wage. But it’s not impossible,” Tkachenko said.
