On November 21, 2019, the St. Michael’s community of the UOC in the village of Topylysche, Ivanychy district, Volyn region, celebrated the first patronal feast in a new church, equipped in the shortest possible time from a dwelling house acquired by believers. On this day, in the presence of a significant number of parishioners and clergy of the area, the new church was consecrated, UOJ informs.
As the rector of the UOC communities in the villages of Topylyshche and Hrybovytsya, archpriest Ihor Margita, wrote on his Facebook page, now they plan to install an iconostasis in the new house church and improve the area around the church. The rector also thanked for the invaluable help of all not indifferent Christians who helped to acquire this old house for the spiritual needs of people and make it a real well-equipped church.
Over the past 2 years, father Igor, with the help of the Charitable Foundation “Favor” and caring co-religionists, has already rebuilt two parishes that were captured by the Kyiv Patriarchate and the OCU – the villages of Hrybovytsya and Topylyshche of the Ivanichy deanery of the Volodymyr-Volyn diocese of the UOC.
