The German deanery of the UOC-KP in the city of Cologne decided to refuse to join the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, as reported in Facebook a “clergyman” of the OCU Volodymyr Chaika.
“We have a good news. During our parochial meeting, which took place on February the 17th, we have also voted for belonging to Kyiv”, – Chaika wrote, commenting the same decision of the parish of the UOC-KP in Bridgeport (the USA).
Later he also informed in Facebook about a meeting with the head of OCU Epiphany Dumenko, when he had notified him about the expression of will of his parish concerning its jurisdictional affiliation.
We recall that the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, stated that the process of transferring foreign parishes of the UOC-KP to Phanar had already started. “Perhaps it may not be officially released. We are negotiating, communicating. This cannot be completed immediately. But already now, for example, in Europe there are many parishes that have independently expressed their desire to obey the Ecumenical Patriarchate”, Epiphany said.
